Ready for a weird one? This is the Foie Bomb from Psycho Donuts in Campbell California; a doughnut-hole topped with Foie Gras, crispy sage and served with a pipette of honey-fig balsamic gastrique. Perhaps National Donut Day’s most controversial concoction hundreds of people lined up to either grab one or protest. Yep, doughnut protest! Foie Gras is a creamy mousse made from a gooses liver, this unique ingredient is actually banned for-sale in California, however Psycho Donuts was able to get around this by simply giving their Foie Bombs away.
