The highest mountain climbed on stilts was Mount Baden-Powell at an elevation of 2,864.8 m (9,398 ft 11 in) by Ashrita Furman (USA) in the San Gabriel Mountains in Wrightwood, California, USA, on 7 August 2011. Furman wore 1.5ft tall steel-peg stilts. The hike lasted 1 hr 52 min 23 sec and all rest breaks were taken while remaining on the stilts.
