Nike does it again! Its not even 2015 and Nike is releasing its “Back To The Future” aka Marty McFly shoe. So how do you get your hands on these bad boys you ask? Here’s the catch, there are only going to be 1,500 of these shoes produced and all will be auctioned on eBay to the highest bidder. Get ready to stand in line behind people with deep pockets, because once these things get a bid over $88 it is going to get bananas!
From the proceeds these shoes will bring. Nike has decided to donate 100% of the profits to the Michael J. Fox Foundation to help fight and prevent Parkinson’s disease. The auction will begin tonight at 8:30PM PST and end on September 18 (150 pairs will be posted on eBay per day for 10 days). “We wanted to translate the excitement people have for the ‘greatest shoe never made’ and for the Back To The Future into positive action,” said Mark Parker, CEO of Nike. “But the long term objective is to raise awareness so the Foundation can achieve their goal of eradicating Parkinson’s disease.”
