Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Not long ago Samsung decided to take the cell phone that we use every day and cram a tablet inside of it, the technological equivalent of stuffing a turkey inside of a pigeon.

While this move brought us the biggest phone we’ve seen since the late ’80s and wishes for larger hands it also gave users constant access to a more portable, readily available and quickly accessible all-in-one device.

To further fuel the “phablet” fire Samsung has a second generation device looking to hit store shelves in the near future. Reportedly this beast of a phone packs the power of a 1.6GHz quad-core processor and 2 GB of ram concealed nicely under a giant 5.55 in AMOLED screen.

The Galaxy Note 2 will run Android’s newest OS (Jelly Bean) to take advantage of it’s processing power and come in 16, 32 and 64 GB capacities. Users can also expect an improved S-Pen (that’s fancy-talk for a stylus housed in the phone).

If we thought the Galaxy Note 1 was giant (which we did) the Galaxy Note 2 is, gianter. Users can expect the phone to be thinner, longer and about the same weight due to a larger battery.

With all this wrapped into one hefty package we can’t wait to see if users will ditch their tablets to buy up the Galaxy Note 2 like they did the 10 million units of its predecessor.
