2 Sweet Portable Projectors

Technology is awesome; today we have the ability to cram the supercomputers of the 1980s into something that’s half the size of a dime, but the caveat is that our devices will only ever be as small as the screens we need to interact with them (kinda ironic that bigger is better in screens then huh?).

As technology evolves so too does innovation, soon our screens may be a thing of the past and we may finally be able to fit everything we need into our wallets; no more headphones, cell phones, gaming systems or eReaders, just a simple card that’ll do anything and everything we could ever want.

Figuring out how to ditch the screen is undoubtedly the first step in finding a way for us to comfortably pocket our endless supply of mobile and (currently) non-mobile devices. Check out the devices below that have integrated projectors, with the hope of satisfying both our need for tiny tech and super-sized screens.

SmartQ U7 Tablet

From Smart Devices this Android tablet comes equipped with a slot for a micro SD card as well as an HDMI port. The SmartQ U7 comes with a 7 in 1080p display which will be sold for between $315 and $400 depending upon if you decide to grab the 8gb or 16gb model.

The real standout feature of this tablet is it’s ability to project a 50in image at 6 feet with its built-in projector.

3M Portable Projector with Roku and Wifi

While the Roku is already fairly awesome slapping a lens on it and building in wifi would truly make in an all-in-one device. Done. By partnering with 3M a sweet little portable projector just a bit bigger than a Nintendo Wii for about $300.

The 3M Streaming Projector comes equipped with a rechargeable battery which will last up to 2.5 hours on continuous play, and an HDMI port for the included Roku streaming stick. Users will also be able to plug in their playback devices to project an image up to 120 inches.
